My name is Joel Jenkins, and I'm a Freelance Web Designer.
I've been building websites since 2003 and proudly focus on web design, coding in valid code and keeping sites clean and effective. I'm a very big fan of having form meet function, and keep in mind sound marketing techniques with my design.
If you've come across a website that I designed and would like to hire me to build a website for you, please click here to e-mail me.
If you'd like to see some of the work I've done, as well as my qualifications, please check my online resume.
I'm pretty affordable.
I design layouts in Adobe Photoshop using vector design, and then I'll hand-code the website using Coda in valid XHTML 1.0 Strict. Finally, to jazz up the look I use CSS Edit to create awesome CSS 2.1 valid stylesheets. All this is done on a MacPro running OS X Leopard.
Before going live on the internet I'll cross-check the site look and functionality in Internet Explorer, Firefox, as well as Safari.
Unless hosting has previously been setup, I recommend using Bluehost. They offer unlimited bandwidth & storage, as well as a free domain name with sign-up, and yearly renewal of your domain name.
I also do basic SEO.
I've worked with a Search Engine Optimization firm before and understand the good, the bad, and the ugly of SEO. With every site I design and build I'll install Google Analytics, as well as add basic SEO features to the code. I'm also happy to answer and coach you with any SEO effort you decide to do.
